Warblade will not be able to surprise the player with an unimaginable plot and a huge number of characters, as Touhou Project. Dodging will be increasingly difficult, but there will also be many more useful bonuses. There are a hundred levels in the game and each time the wall of shells will become denser and denser. The enemy army is advancing on the only ship of the protagonist and the only way to survive is to dodge the endless stream of enemy fire. The gameplay itself shows a classic scrolling shooter. But for an arcade game from 2003, there were breakthrough mechanics such as: The gameplay won't surprise you with much variety. Feel the burden of responsibility on your shoulders? Don't despair, because large-scale battles with a sea of enemy fire await you ahead. One brave pilot has been chosen to save her. An alien race is threatening planet Earth. Scroll-shooter with a characteristic huge number of enemy shells on the battlefield. If you’ve been playing like I have (God help you, but not you, Jonathan), here’s a whole new way of approaching the game.Warblade is an arcade game where the player has to play the role of a spaceship pilot.

I’ve also ignored the skeletons because, well, they seemed bad (and they are unless you play them right).Ĭheck out the links below. Turns out I haven’t unlocked a whole lot of crap! I’ve completely ignored the Game Secrets because the first 10 were so lame I decided to stop spending money on them. I don’t have Rockets because I haven’t unlocked them. The mid and upper level stuff is hidden until you’re smart enough or lucky enough to uncover it. I’ve approached Warblade as one would Space Invaders or Galaga, but this game has a lot more under the hood. I’ve at least missed out on a huge portion of the strategy. I just found out I’ve been playing this game all wrong. Man, that link is pretty obscure but thanks. At the top of my weapons list I have Alien Lock, Super Auto Fire and Rocket Pack. Maybe they only appear on the weapon list if you have unveiled a corresponding game secret? I don’t know. But then I’d miss out on the “Normal” high score table. Maybe I should! At least I’d have a shot at the upper levels. I don’t play on that level but I saw my Nephew flip the game twice on Easy and he had piles of cash. I believe if you start a profile on the Easy mode then you get boatloads of cash for surviving a meteorstorm. An alien race is invading the Earth and you must try to save humanity.

Score - meteorstorms are the only way to get the super-mega-high scores.

Especially if you get screwed with a Single/Double Shot drop. You can get by on Quad Shot and autofire (both available from drops), but anything less is pretty much a wash after a certain point. Some games you just don’t get jack for cash.

Money - it’s absolutely necessary so that you can buy the top weapons. There are two big problems with the game: Love/hate is a perfect way to describe how I feel about it. I find myself going back for binges of this game every so often.
